So this past Sunday at Manifesto I had a booth for Glass Hearts; networking, taking in some good hip hop and shooting the shit with all my friends who came through.
I got the opportunity to meet two men that I can honestly say changed my life through their music, 9th Wonder and Phonte.
I took that chance to give them both some of my men’s pieces. Not only did they love them, 9th put on my Talking Heads bracelet right away and wore it for the rest of the night. Later that night, though I didn’t realize it at first, Phonte was actually wearing my all-black Knock On Wood necklace during his entire set! To say I was geeked is the understatement of the year.
I figured, they’ve given so much to me. It’s only right that I gave something to them.
